The first graduate of the Liberal Arts and Sciences program in English!
We are proud to announce that as of last week, we have our first graduate from the Liberal Arts and Sciences program in English!
Yesterday, during the defense of his thesis, Mr. Oskar Osses presented a groundbreaking dissertation entitled Film Therapy. Contextual Perspectives on Film Therapy.
Film therapy, also known as cinematherapy, is still a little-explored topic in Poland, which makes this work both exceptional and innovative. Mr. Oskar Osses undertook an in-depth analysis of not only the benefits of this form of therapy but also highlighted the potential risks of its use by individuals without proper training. During the defense, an interesting topic was also raised about self-therapy undertaken by directors, using Apocalypse Now by Francis Coppola as an example, where the director attempted to convey his feelings about the Vietnam War through the film.
This remarkable achievement not only marks a turning point in the life of the graduate himself but also opens a new chapter in the history of our University and our program. Mr. Osses' work points to the potential for interdisciplinary research in the field of therapy, as well as emphasizing the growing role of art in healing and therapeutic processes.
We congratulate Mr. Oskar Osses and wish him continued success!
