Exploring the past in Enigma Cipher Centre Museum

On Thursday, June 22nd, LAS students visited the Enigma Cipher Centre Museum. The trip was organised as part of the History of Crucial Scientific Discoveries course. During their visit to Enigma, they explored the history of ciphers—from ancient times to the modern era—as well as the social contexts, intriguing profiles of outstanding mathematicians, and the impact of cryptology on the development of contemporary technologies, such as blockchain 🔐💻.

While the famous Enigma machine—the queen of the exhibition 👑—naturally drew a lot of attention, the students were especially captivated by the puzzles and interactive exhibits 🧩✨. This part of the museum not only allowed them to test their newly acquired knowledge but also offered a great deal of fun and engagement!
